fed up

I’m moving. WordPress is a pain.

wideyedwonderer

well what do you know, it’s Ms Rice

I’m really fed up with WordPress because the photos come out so small. I feel like changing it! I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FREAKING USE IT! Urgh.

Anyways, yesterday Cheryl and I ditched our Freemantle tour to hang out with our parents cos Cheryl’s dad was going home. We ended up driving down to King’s Park. Which is really really pretty(I’ll TRY to put photos up if this bloody thing allows me to do it). And then as we were strolling along we noticed that there were a lot of police. Like A LOT. There were some on horses, some in cars, some on bicycles and there were these men-in-black secret service type of people(this was really cool by the way, ok so it makes me sound like a TOTAL nerd but I was fascinated). I kept stealing glances at them because I was secretly afraid that if I stared too long they might think of me as suspicious. haha. There is a point to this. Condoleezza Rice was visiting. So they had security EVERYWHERE. So our walk was limited. But it was still really pretty. C and I took like tons of photos. haha. It was fun. Plenty of potential facebook display pictures. This place is really beautiful.

It was pretty emotional when C’s dad left yesterday. Even I felt sad.

Today my Mummy left. I was sad but didn’t cry. And I heard from Greg that she felt as though I was waiting to get rid of her. I’m sad she thought that ): So I texted her to let her know she was missed. Greg came over to bum around in our room. We’re going to watch Dark Night next Tues.

School starts this Monday (:

I’ll leave you with photos(i hope)

NO I CANNOT F$#^@(&(*# UPLOAD PHOTOS. I’m going to have to move AGAIN

WHY DO MY PHOTOS COME OUT SO SMALL?????

the great happenings

Just putting photos up in no particular order. Just stuff that has been happening these few days.

This week I’ve been at school for orientation. Day 1 was all internationals only. Day 2 we met our Aussie schoolmates. Oh and I can’t say ‘school’ here cos they use that to refer to like high school and things. So I have to say I’m going to Uni. I’m not used to that yet. We were all assigned Mentors who took us round the school and told us where everything was and how the school worked. There’s like this like club place in school called the Tavern where all the parties happen. It’s really cool. And can I just say, in a totally UNBIASED opinion, MY SCHOOL IS SO SO SO SO PRETTY. There are lot’s of old buildings that have a lot of character. Walking to school is so lovely.

Day 3 was enrollment of classes. We got our student ID too. Had to take your photo at this make shirt booth then they print it out immediately for you. But I have to say that this photo is probably the only decent photo of me on any sort of identification. You know how your EZlink, IC and passport photos always end up very fugly looking. haha. After all that we headed to Aunty Iris’ house (Greg’s aunt) to meet for dinner. She’s really nice and generous and kind, I can say all sorts of nice things bout her. After hanging out for quite a bit we headed back for Aunty B’s (Mum’s ex SA schoolmate who’s daughter is also here) to stay the night.

Today was a free day. Met up with Greg again and he took us shopping. HE’S REALLY HELPFUL. Like really. I needed a jacket and sweat pants and he went round the store looking for them and came back with great stuff. AND while Cheryl was in the changing room he went around looking for boots for her. Very efficient please. All guys should be like him. hahaha. We had a lot of fun today. Tuesday we’re going to watch The Dark Knight! He’s going to drive us in his very OLD cheapo car. But I won’t complain if we’re getting driven. heh.

It’s 2am AGAIN. 2 round of pictures in next post. I DON’T CARE, DON’T WANT TO WAIT ANYMORE. And I don’t know how to use this system to upload. Oh well.

Lights out

blessings diguised

I’m here I’m here! Finally got internet connection. Am currently bunking with Cheryl in a very small room. But we’re both happy and it’s a dorm on campus so we take like 5mins(depends on walking speed and tiredness). We’re living at St Thomas More College. Which is filled with Americans. Everyone here is just really easy to talk to. Like they just embrace you. haha.

My Mum’s old SAJC classmate’s daughter (catch that everyone?) is here too. Her name’s Yvette. So she was our first friend here. She’s very talkative and just goes up to everyone to say hi. heh.

Orientation started today. But only for international students. HALF OF US HERE ARE SINGAPOREANS. Clarissa is also here. I met her. HER HAIR IS SO….PRC. hahahaha.

It’s really late now so I think I’m just going to end here.

A lot has happened actually but I’ll update more when I have the time.

Love and miss everyone back at home.

Inspired by my emo-king, Mal

I lace my Chucks, I walk the aisle
I take my pills, the babies cry
All I hear is what’s playing through
The in-flight radio
Now every word of every song
I ever heard that made me wanna stay
Is what’s playing through
The in-flight radio, and I
And I am, finally waking up

Down Under

It’s the same me. Just a different country, continent and life.

This should be interesting…
